    Consulting
There is a demand for good advice ...

Consulting tasks in the SAP logistics environment are very diverse and range from logistics process consulting and classic SAP application consulting with system set-up, training, testing and documentation through to technology consulting. It depends on the issue in hand as to whether a distant view, more detailed work or a critical weighing up of costs versus benefits is required. However, we always focus our activities on the customer, their individual objectives and the benefit they can get out of it over the long term.

    Process consultancy

    Process consultancy

Before considering the best possible SAP support, you need to analyse the logistics process. Unnecessarily complex processes with multiple exceptions and exceptional cases, which are only known by a few insiders and do not add any value, should be reviewed in terms of their necessity within the scope of a process analysis and critical assessment. New or amended business transactions should be examined to see whether they can be designed in such a way that existing IT tools can be used and, if possible, without spending a lot of money or time on them (see also alogis-PAXolution).

As a result of years of experience gained from other similar projects, our competence areas are able to make valuable contributions to the visualisation, critical analysis and design of logistical processes, in order to save time and money, particularly in conjunction with SAP functions.

    SAP application consulting

    SAP application consulting

We usually work on SAP projects in our competence areas, which deal with the set-up of new - or the adjustment of existing - SAP standard or additional functionalities, in the following well-established project phases.

    • Creation of a product specification sheet/business requirements document
    • Creation of a requirements specification sheet/high-level document
    • Creation of a development concept for additional development (where necessary)
    • Configuration of the SAP system/customising in the test system
    • Implementation of function tests in the test system
    • Transportation of customising and workbench objects
    • Implementation of integration tests in the consolidation system
    • Creation of documentation (technical documentation/user documentation)
    • Training of users or key users
    • Migration of master/transaction data, as the case may be (where necessary)
    • Set-up of authorisation management
    • Integration of peripheral devices (printer, scanner, etc.)
    • Productive rollout and go-live support
    Template rollouts

    Template rollouts

The template strategy makes sense if separate SAP systems - rather than a central system - are being used across several sites, where a similar process landscape should be replicated and maintenance costs should be kept low.

Projects that involve developing an SAP system as a template and rolling it out at different locations present particular challenges.

    Template building

    • Global/local customising (document type, number range)
    • Namespaces for DDic- and Workbench objects
    • Concept for local enhancements/interfaces
    • Common master data
    • Translations into the relevant languages
    • Consideration given to local regulatory requirements

    Template rollout

    • Fit/gap analysis
    • Local adaptation / system extension
    • Data transfer
    • Testing and acceptance
    • Preparation and go-live
    Technology and basis

    Technology and basis

Technology consulting includes testing, evaluating and recommending a selection of suitable technologies for the customer’s respective task or system landscape. Besides the feasibility, this covers the cost and benefit aspects as well as maintainability or integration aspects (see Basis & Technology).

Within the scope of basic consulting, we provide support for:

    • System administration
    • User/role management and authorisations
    • Archiving
    • System transportation
